About two months ago when i purchased new F150 Tremor i started shopping for new bed cover. i researched all possibilities and decided on a very popular brand that seemed very good. Well it was far from the hype with cheap rubber seals that were destined to fail and flimsy workmanship. i returned it and bought my new AL4. What a difference, delivered in 3 days, super easy install, looks great on truck and when i washed truck and concentrated hose on all areas of cover, no leaks at all. My only issue is the power liftgate will not close without help when cover is down but i'm pretty sure i can tweak a bit and solve that.
Highly recommend
Thicker aluminum than the competitors? Could of fooled me. This has a nice overall look to it, but it's flimsy as a beer can. The panels flutter in the wind like a vinyl cover. The instructions are worse to figure out than an IKEA table. The Rough County covers I have in other trucks are way more sturdy. I feel like they will outlast the work sport one. Won't be buying this brand anymore. I'll stay with Rough County. They're just better.
Very easy to install
Exactly what I was shopping for
Very durable and keeping things dry/secured
After much debate, based on a lot of research and forum visits, I landed on Worksport. I was going to buy the AL4, but I was curious about the Nexus which had been freshly released at the time of this review. Vehicle is a 2023 F150 Lariat Powerboost.
The Good:
- Included directions are very clear and easy to follow. Installed by myself taking my time, took like an hour.
- Included hardware appears to be quality. Time will tell.
- The Auto-latch system when the cover is fully open is genius. You have to be mindful and adjust the loops appropriately, but once you find the sweet spot it opens and releases reliably and securely.
- Not overly heavy. Low Profile. Nice and sleek.
- Shipping was very fast. Like, prime shipping speed. Very happy with that.
The Less-Ideal But Not Bad:
- Noticeable dent in one of the panels and a scuff on another. I’m a bull in a china shop so it would’ve happened eventually. The product was packed really well, so I’m not sure at what point in the process it could’ve been dinged or scuffed. Either way, it’s a truck, not a purse. Not a huge deal.
- The pull cord retainers for the auto-latch release. My biggest pet peeve. The left retainer pops out under the slightest pressure. I shove it back into the channel, it audibly clicks, I try again, it pops out. It doesn’t prohibit the latch release from operating, just annoying as ****. Tends to happen with polymer components and tolerance so I get it. Again, not a huge deal.
- A tiny bit gappy at the tailgate, but not really the tonneau cover’s fault. My tailgate is a millimeter or two from being flush with the bed rails. Perhaps a sweep gasket of some sort would add a layer of moisture intrusion protection. No tonneau cover is ever 100% watertight, so really not a big deal.
- Front rack holes on the side rails are covered. You’ll have to trim the smallest panel or remove the cover if you want to drop in retractable bed tie-down points or ladder rack posts.
Overall, I’m impressed at the onset by the product design and the materials used. Time will tell with regard to durability, but Worksport has their reputation for a reason. If you’re on the fence with this being a new product, it’s definitely worth taking the plunge.
Decided on the AL4 on a new F150 over the competition. Had a newer MX4 on High Country and was disappointed in the quality of seals and fitment to the bed rails. So glad I went the AL4 highly recommend if your are on the fence. I have the PAT tailgate on the F150 and could not be happier with it. Installation was a breeze and the cable release system is well made and easy to use.
This is the best folding bed cover I’ve ever had. It is high quality and easy to install with s little mechanical ability. When folded up to allow full bed access, it locks in a vertical position instead of leaning against the back of the cab with prop rods. I recommend it.
Very pleased with the AL4 cover I purchased and installed on my Titan. Functions well and looks superb😎 I highly recommend!
Install was straightforward and took about 40 minutes with my son helping. Quality appears to be great out of the box. Shipping was quick and cover arrived in good condition. Nothing left to do but drive my truck and enjoy the added dry security of my new tonneau cover.
What’s not to love about this? Frees up your bed to use completely, or keep it covered, dry and secure.
I recently picked up a 2026 Silverado Trail Boss. I wanted a good bed cover,so I shopped around and the AL4 sounds the best. Shipping was fast . Excellent condition and very good packaging. Easy to install ,and looks great. I’m sure glad I picked The AL4 !!
I ordered the AL4 the shipping was fast got it delivered in 3 days. I installed it took me half hr. The cover is well built opens and closes easily. Looks great on my Ram 1500 low profile which I was looking for. The people at worksport were very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this cover to anyone.
I like the looks of the AL4 better than the Bakflip and the install was easy.
I just had the cover installed on my 26 Silverado and it looks great! It is very similar to the cover on my old truck but I like this one’s appearance and features better.
This is the very first time that I can say that I am 100%satisfied with the people involved with the company and their warntee. They were pleasent to deal with and stood by the warntee. Great company to deal with.
Very easy installation looks fantastic on my truck. And it is very well built.
I bought a new Silverado a couple weeks ago and started researching hard tonneau covers. I came across the Worksport AL3 cover and the reviews were fantastic. I ordered the top, had it 3 days later and got it installed in under a half hour. It fits perfectly, appears to be very well made and it looks great. I would definitely recommend it.
Its great. Easy install, weathertight, and looks great.
Packaged very well. No damage to product. Installed easily. A few minor adjustments to latching system. I am totally satisfied with how the cover works.
The AL4 I installed on my Ram short bed replaced a cover that had aluminum slats with a vinyl cover. The weather had deteriorated the vinyl to the point it was coming off the cover. The AL4 is well built, installation instructions are detailed enough, (great point to check alignment of cover before bolting down).
I just ran through the local car wash that is quite aggressive. The cover only had minimal ingress of water from the direct high pressure spray. I am confident the cover will keep rain out when it finally does rain.
The feature that holds the cover open and completely out of the way is a welcome addition, since there is only 76 inches of bed to work with.
Cover fits nicely, easy install, staying dry underneath so far even after hard rain.
Got a new AL3 for my 2025 Colorado ZR2 second AL3 I have owned easy to put on or take off. Love It.
Need some replacement parts for my tonneau cover that I purchased November of 2024. They were extremely helpful and shipped me what I needed.
