Installation was a breeze. Much higher quality and easier installation than a foam core cover. I like the fact the you can adjust the height of the strike plate to adjust the tightness.
After much debate, based on a lot of research and forum visits, I landed on Worksport. I was going to buy the AL4, but I was curious about the Nexus which had been freshly released at the time of this review. Vehicle is a 2023 F150 Lariat Powerboost.
The Good:
- Included directions are very clear and easy to follow. Installed by myself taking my time, took like an hour.
- Included hardware appears to be quality. Time will tell.
- The Auto-latch system when the cover is fully open is genius. You have to be mindful and adjust the loops appropriately, but once you find the sweet spot it opens and releases reliably and securely.
- Not overly heavy. Low Profile. Nice and sleek.
- Shipping was very fast. Like, prime shipping speed. Very happy with that.
The Less-Ideal But Not Bad:
- Noticeable dent in one of the panels and a scuff on another. I’m a bull in a china shop so it would’ve happened eventually. The product was packed really well, so I’m not sure at what point in the process it could’ve been dinged or scuffed. Either way, it’s a truck, not a purse. Not a huge deal.
- The pull cord retainers for the auto-latch release. My biggest pet peeve. The left retainer pops out under the slightest pressure. I shove it back into the channel, it audibly clicks, I try again, it pops out. It doesn’t prohibit the latch release from operating, just annoying as ****. Tends to happen with polymer components and tolerance so I get it. Again, not a huge deal.
- A tiny bit gappy at the tailgate, but not really the tonneau cover’s fault. My tailgate is a millimeter or two from being flush with the bed rails. Perhaps a sweep gasket of some sort would add a layer of moisture intrusion protection. No tonneau cover is ever 100% watertight, so really not a big deal.
- Front rack holes on the side rails are covered. You’ll have to trim the smallest panel or remove the cover if you want to drop in retractable bed tie-down points or ladder rack posts.
Overall, I’m impressed at the onset by the product design and the materials used. Time will tell with regard to durability, but Worksport has their reputation for a reason. If you’re on the fence with this being a new product, it’s definitely worth taking the plunge.
I recently picked up a 2026 Silverado Trail Boss. I wanted a good bed cover,so I shopped around and the AL4 sounds the best. Shipping was fast . Excellent condition and very good packaging. Easy to install ,and looks great. I’m sure glad I picked The AL4 !!
I ordered the AL4 the shipping was fast got it delivered in 3 days. I installed it took me half hr. The cover is well built opens and closes easily. Looks great on my Ram 1500 low profile which I was looking for. The people at worksport were very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this cover to anyone.
Got a new AL3 for my 2025 Colorado ZR2 second AL3 I have owned easy to put on or take off. Love It.
I bought COR with an extra battery before a family trip as a trial to replace our older setup that could not keep up with charging multiple devices at once. The new system was great at keeping all the kids’ devices charged, and having a spare battery in hand ready to swap made a big difference! We did not have to stress about finding power at every stop or waiting for devices to charge. Like, the whole trip felt smoother because of it.
I could easily reach the customer care to answer a few questions I had while ordering, and our package arrived on time before the trip. Would gladly recommend it to friends looking for something similar!!
got the SOLIS a few months ago and the first thing i noticed is this thing is obviously not just a truck cover. like you can tell right away just looking at it that something else is going on. solar panels built right into it, its actually generating power while its just sitting in my driveway. still kinda wild to me honestly
hooked it up to the COR and took it camping for a long weekend — ran a cooler, charged everything, had a fan going at night. never touched a gas generator once which was the whole point the COR is a solid unit too. not too bulky, charges back up faster than i thought it would. left it in the garage for like 3 weeks and it still had a good charge when i grabbed it had a couple questions during setup, customer service got back to me pretty quick. install wasnt bad just dont rush it
its not cheap but i looked into it a lot before buying and yeah worth it for me. if you camp or tailgate or just hate dealing with gas cans its kind of a no brainer. shoulda done it sooner honestly
Reviewed about 30 types of folding covers on line. The AL3 checked all the boxes for my 2026 Ram with a multi function tailgate. Installation was easy and fit and finish perfect. Price point was the best for a quality product.
Super fast shipping, packaged very well. Installation was super easy just watch the video. Love it, glad I decided to go with the AL4
So far so good , installed on a 2023 sierra gmc 2500 HD diesel. Easy install with good instructions. Plan on some cross country trips soon, so will report back on durability. Only critique if I had one would be the strike plate adjusting tricky because it twists as it is tightened taking it out of alignment with latch . If one could keep it from twisting during adjustment well what would I have to guys about. Other than that I love the look , love the security I get , and the fitment to the truck was spot on. Would and will recommend to other truck owners.
Even though the package was delayed due to FedEx, everything arrived safely. After unboxing I installed it and it went perfect. Everything went together just as advertised. It looks good and it’s very sturdy. This is my second bed cover. If I buy another truck, I’ll buy another bed cover great product.
I ordered a cheap Amazon tonneau cover during a Black Friday sale for $320. It did not fit correctly so I returned it. I didn’t like the latch system at all. I did some research and almost bought one from the dealer. The one thing that most covers required is drilling 2 - 5/8” holes in my bed for drain tubes. I’m not doing that! The I found the Worksport AL 4. NO DRILLING REQUIRED! It wasn’t cheap but I ordered it. Very nice, easy to install and looks great. I love the latch system. You can adjust them so the cover fits tight. I did have an issue with the pre-assembled side rails. They were missing a nut on each one. Rather than contacting Worksport I ran to Ace hardware. Cost me a buck. I would have given it 5 stars but my 1st day driving it to work we had rain. It rained hard twice during the day but not for very long. There was some water intrusion into the bed. Not a bunch. I know most covers do leak some but I expected better after paying $1268! I am a bit disappointed. However looking at my tailgate it could have leaked through there. I am looking into a tailgate seal kit.
Really wanted a hard tri-fold or quad-fold after rocking an Extang tri-fold soft tonneau on my 2013 Tundra 5 1/2’ bed for about 23 years. Extensive research led me to Woksport. The price point was comparable to other hard tri-folds, workmanship as well. One huge selling point for me was the lack of “drain tubes”. No drilling, double sealed instead, both the rail piece and the cover itself. It truly did help to have extra hands to install. Minimal tools needed for real, screwdriver, 10mm, 13mm, and pocket knife. Totally installed, aligned and tweaked, then shut my tailgate and it wasn’t flush like before. I ended up grinding/cutting about 1/4” off the end (tailgate side) of both rails to allow my tailgate to securely latch. Luckily I had a wheel grinder handy and it wasn’t a huge deal. I like the fact that you can adjust the slam latches for fit and tension. I really like the look and can’t wait to see what happens when it rains or I wash it. I would recommend this cover for ease of installation and quality of product this far.
Perfect fit and easy to install. Came with extra straps I am guessing are for a different cover but I’m sure I’ll find a use for them.
This cover was easy to install and looks very nice on my 2026 Nissan frontier. I recommend it to a friend who also really liked how it looked on my truck.
Look no further than this AL4 hard cover, I upgraded from the AL3 which was an awesome cover. This model is next level complete access to your full bed i love the fact that it's 100% USA made construction top notch materials used not like some past inferior covers i've owned which did not last as advertised.
I got the AL4 because it can stand vertically behind the cab, maximizing bed space. I'm very pleased with it. It is very sturdy and looks great. Took less than an hour to install. I would recommend it.
What a really nice tonneau cover. That's pretty much sums it up. Delivery was real quick. The packaging was strong. The quality looked and felt excellent. The install was simple enough and the customer service guy, Allen, was very friendly and helpful.
I chose the AL3 because of the quality and price point over a month and 3k miles ago. Very pleased with it and would make the same decision again.
Just bought a new truck and was searching for a "low profile" cover that looked great, and had a decent price. I found the Worksport site and did some side by side comparisons with other brands. I decided to give the AL3 series a try and I was not disappointed. The installation was straight forward and instructions were easy to follow. And besides that, it looks great on my Trail Boss! I have already recommended this product to several friends.
Hi this is a great American product! Easy to install. I have a Ford F150 STX with factory loading ramps added. The AL3 fit and clamped into place over the ramps and the front clips fit perfectly behind the loading ramps! Great product!! 5 Stars!
I’m very pleased with my new AL4 cover for my new 2026 Ford F350 Super Duty! It is everything that was touted on the WS web site and I got a great price on it compared with the competition! It installed very easily first try with no/little adjustments and took a bit over thirty minutes for the installation! So far a great product and value overall!
